You can help support the relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Dorian. Donate today to the Community Foundation’s Hurricane Dorian Disaster Relief Fund.
The Community Foundation of Collier County has established the Hurricane Dorian Disaster Relief Fund to provide disaster relief to victims of this unprecedented storm which has left behind massive devastation.
At this time, relief efforts are focused on assisting the Bahamas in their recovery. Funds will be sent to Bahamas nonprofits and to the United Way of Miami-Dade who will work with other United Ways and nonprofits supporting immediate and long-term recovery needs. The Foundation will continue to monitor the Southeastern United States for any significant impact and the potential need for support.
The fund’s purpose is to assist those affected and the nonprofits that support the victims in the aftermath of a crisis. This fund also assures donors that help will reach their intended cause. Fraudulent sites pop up following a disaster or emergency that mislead donors about where their funds will go. As the Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, donations are tax-deductible.
So many people from across the United States and even as far away as Japan generously helped support us in our time of need through the Collier Comes Together Fund for Hurricane Irma victims. Let’s return the love and show our support for Hurricane Dorian victims.
100% of donations will go to hurricane victims.
If you would like to make a grant to the Hurricane Dorian Disaster Relief Fund or to other nonprofit organizations for recovery efforts through your donor advised fund, please contact Meredith Nassif at 239.307.4517 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Together we can make a difference!
