The 2019 Satisfy the Hunger Food Drive, an initiative of the Naples Daily News to stock the shelves of Collier County food pantries during the lean days of summer and the needs of families are the greatest was a big success this year!
Thanks to your monetary and food contributions, we raised over $107,000 and 17,241 pounds of food, that’s 10,000 more pounds than last year! Thank you to the United Way of Collier County for their Stuff the Bus events and the Naples Daily News who held Friday Food Drives to collect food, baby supplies, personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and snacks for kids to help fill the shelves of Collier County food banks this summer.
Monetary donations were matched 100 percent by campaign partners Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, Community Foundation of Collier County and United Way of Collier County, up to $45,000.
Even though the match period is over, donations can still be made. Give today so others can eat tomorrow. Help make Collier County somewhere we all love to live.
