Thanks to the generous and visionary donors contribution to over 40 scholarships opportunities at the Foundation, we are able to provide students in our community the opportunity to apply to scholarships to continue their education. The Community Foundation of Collier County administers a variety of scholarship opportunities and programs that grant to students in primary, secondary, post-secondary and graduate school. The majority of our scholarships are designated for current or former residents of Collier and Southwest Florida counties.

All scholarships administered by the Community Foundation of Collier County have been established by local philanthropists, individuals, corporations, or organizations to assist students with their educational paths and dreams. Whether honoring loved ones or supporting students in various paths, each scholarship expresses a deep belief in the power of education.

Getting Started

If you plan to apply for a scholarship, here are important tips before you begin:

  • The Community Foundation of Collier County application process has multiple steps consisting of a common application and follow up questions regarding your original application.
  • Press the “Apply Today” button to start your common application.
  • Gather required document(s) upload (i.e., Transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc.).
  • Application deadline for scholarships may vary.

The Community Foundation of Collier County provides scholarship opportunities and connects students to educational opportunities. All scholarships below are competitive and we encourage you to plan ahead. While some scholarships focus on financial need, school, specific majors and community service, others seek to motivate students who show academic potential.

Local Organizations Offering Scholarships

The Community Foundation of Collier County manages scholarship opportunities offered by local organizations or companies.

Bentley Village Foundation Wings Scholarship Fund
Coming soon:

  • a Bentley Village employee who receives a W-2 or 1099 form from Vi at Bentley Village; and/or
  • qualified dependents of an employee who receives a W-2 or 1099. To qualify as a dependent of a current worker at Bentley Village, applicants must be listed as a “Dependent” on the employee’s IRS tax forms.
  • Upload all required documentation to the online application. You need to upload two (2) letters of recommendation.
  • Application deadlines are October 15th and March 15th each year.

The Glenview Employee Scholarship
Eligibility requirements:

  • For The Glenview employees with at least one year of employment (full-time or part-time).
  • Applicant may pursue an educational program at a: Community College, Technical/Vocational School, College undergraduate level or graduate level.
  • Awards may be used for tuition, books and fees.
  • This scholarship is renewable for one additional year as long as the student keeps a 2.50 GPA or higher.
  • This scholarship has a March 1 deadline each year.

 

The Moorings Park Foundation: Give Them Wings Scholarship
Eligibility requirements:

  • Applications may be submitted by current full-time and part-time employees (with at least one year of employment) of Moorings Park and their dependents.
  • Awards may be used for tuition, books and lab fees.
  • This scholarship is renewable for one additional year as long as the student keeps a 2.50 GPA or higher.

 

The Port Royal Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • This scholarship’s purpose to provide financial assistance to individuals to further their educational pursuits.
  • Applicants for the scholarship must be an employee of The Port Royal Club or a member of the employee’s immediate family.
  • The applicant must have a high school education or an equivalent education.
  • The applicant or immediate family member must have completed one year of service and work an average of 20 hours per month November 1st through April 30th.
  • If the applicant is a dependent (a child) of the employee they must be 26 years of age or younger to be eligible to apply.
  • All funds must be utilized before reapplying and the students may take up to two years to utilize the award.
  • This scholarship has a March 1, July 1 and October 1 deadline each year.

 

The Royal Poinciana Employees and Dependents Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For current full time and part time employees of Royal Poinciana Golf Club, Inc. having a minimum of one year of service; and
  • The children (under the age of 26) and spouses who live in the same household of such employees.
  • Scholarships are granted on a yearly basis. Recipients may receive up to four scholarship grants from the Royal Poinciana Employees and Dependents Scholarship Fund. Also, if a recipient receives funding from other sources, this scholarship grant will be applied last. No one may receive funds in excess of the actual expenses of attending school.
  • This scholarship has a February 2nd deadline.
  • Students may apply online by pressing on the “Apply Today” button (below) or you may submit a paper application. If you submit an application online, you may be matched with other opportunities under the Community Foundation umbrella that you are eligible. We strongly encourage you to submit an online application.

William D. Anderson Scholarship Fund

Eligibility requirements:

  • For women and men that are graduating high school seniors from public or private schools in Collier County and Bonita Springs.
  • Must be a Collier County or Bonita Springs resident.
  • The scholarship is based on financial need that is determined by the scholarship committee.
  • Applicant may enroll in a four-year or two-year public, private or vocational post-secondary institution.
  • Preference for applicants that are majoring in the arts or Health Science.

 

Ashley Kelly Memorial Scholarship Fund

Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a graduating senior from Naples High School.
  • For women and men in the Laureate Program at Naples High School.
  • Must be a Collier County resident.
  • Applicant must enroll as a full time student in a four-year or two-year public or private post-secondary institution.
  • Applicant does not need to know their major or program of study.

 

Benedict Family Engineering Scholarship Fund

Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a Collier County documented resident that is a graduating high school senior from Collier County. A preference is given to Gulf Coast High School or Palmetto Ridge High School graduates.
  • This is a scholarship based on Financial Need.
  • Applicant must be a varsity athlete in their senior year or participate in a sport. A preference is given to students that are Varsity athletes at their high school.
  • An academic and sports resume will be requested in the application.
  • Student must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA to apply.
  • Students must major in Engineering (any type of engineering field).
  • The student must be planning on attending one of the following ranked institutions in Florida: University of Florida, University of Central Florida, University of South Florida, or Florida A&M University–Florida State University College of Engineering.
  • This scholarship may be renewable. If the scholarship is deemed renewable, the student will need to remain a full time student with an Engineer major and have a minimum GPA of 2.75.

 

Buckeyes in Naples Scholarship Fund

Eligibility requirements:

  • Must have graduated from a high school in Collier County or in Estero, Florida in southern Lee County to apply.
  • Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, an Eligible Non-Citizen and/or a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) student.
  • This is a scholarship based on Financial Need.
  • Student must show they have a tie to Ohio: they must have been born in the state, lived in the state or had parents that An academic and sports resume will be requested in the application.
  • Student must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA to apply.
  • Students must major in Engineering (any type of engineering field).
  • The student must be planning on attending or must be attending an accredited institution or program in the state of Florida.
  • Student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (unweighted).
  • Students will need to share information regarding participation in extra-curricular, leadership and community service activities throughout their educational career. Students will be requested to provide employment information (past and present).
  • Student will need to provide two (2) letters of recommendation.

 

CHEF (Culinary & Hospitality Education Foundation) Scholarship Fund

Eligibility requirements:

  • Students that may apply:
    • Graduating high school seniors.
    • Adults returning to school.
    • Students in a college path pursing the Culinary and/or Hospitality fields.
    • Student must not be older than 30 years old.
  • Student must live in Collier County and/or Lee County.
  • The student will be asked to share information about their work, volunteer, and hobbies /activities.
  • The student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • The student must be planning on majoring in the Culinary and/or Hospitality Arts Fields.
  • The student will be requested to submit two (2) letters of recommendation.
  • Students may have an interview with the scholarship committee.
  • Students will be required to complete an essay.

 

The Christ Child Society of Naples Habitat Scholars Fund

Eligibility requirements:

  • For Habitat for Humanity Community Members wishing to pursue a post-secondary degree under the age of 24.
  • Students may be:
    • Graduating high school seniors.
    • Adults returning to school.
    • Students in a college path pursing a degree.
    • Student must not be older than 24 years old.
  • Student must live in Collier County in a Habitat for Humanity home.
  • The student will be asked to share information about their work, volunteer, and hobbies /activities.
  • The student must have a minimum unweighted GPA of 2.5.
  • The scholarship hopes the student will persist and graduate from their institution with a tangible end result, a degree or certification.
  • The student will be requested to submit three (3) letters of recommendation.
  • Students may have an interview with the scholarship committee.
  • Students will be required to complete an essay on: “How will my continuing education contribute to a better society?”

 

Daphne Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • Single mothers who are head of household and in need of financial assistance for their education.
  • Must be a Collier County resident.
  • This scholarship is based on financial need; applicant must submit latest IRS tax filing.
  • Applicant must enroll in a four-year or two-year public, private or vocational/technical post-secondary institution.

 

Frank and Ellen Daveler Educational Scholarship
Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a graduating high school senior who resides in the Southwest Florida Counties (Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Glades and Hendry Counties).
  • The student must demonstrate a financial need.
  • Student must have an unweighted 3.00 GPA or higher.
  • Student must intend to continue his/her education at a four-year college or university.
  • Half of the awards will be for students majoring in Entrepreneurship and/or Business fields. The other half of the awards will be for students with any selected major.
  • This scholarship is renewable as long as the recipient continues to remain in good academic standing, remains in the chosen major for 2 years and maintains a cumulative 3.00 GPA.

 

Joel A. Deifik Memorial Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a graduating senior from any Collier County Public High School.
  • For students planning on majoring in law enforcement and/or legal fields
  • Applicant must demonstrate character under extraordinary circumstances.
  • Student must have an unweighted 2.5 GPA or higher.

 

Diano-Tougas Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For women that have been or currently are single mothers claiming dependents.
  • Must be a Collier County or Bonita Springs resident.
  • Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher (based on a 4.0 scale).
  • This scholarship is based on financial need as determined by the scholarship committee.
  • Applicant may enroll in a four-year or two-year public, private or vocational/technical post-secondary institution.

 

Dorothy Edwards Vocational Scholarship Fund-Naples Woman's Club
Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a graduating senior from any Collier County Public High School or St. John Neumann or an adult returning/continuing their education.
  • This scholarship funds awards to students who are planning on attending a two-year or less educational program.
  • For example, career possibilities that do not require a four-year degree: heating, chef, dental hygienists, computer networking support specialists, etc.
  • Recipients may reapply for the scholarship to be renewed.

 

Madeline S. Elmore Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • This fund was started by a Woman of Initiative of the Women’s Foundation of Collier County. The hope of this scholarship is to support women in their pursuit of higher education.
  • Applicant must be a female graduating high school senior from any Collier County Public High School.
  • This scholarship funds awards to students who are planning on attending a two-year or four-year college/university.
  • Students should have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • The student will need to provide one (1) letter of recommendation.
  • The student will be asked about their volunteer work in the community.
  • A preference is given to students seeking a degree in Education where they have the desire to become a teacher.

 

ESOA Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • This scholarship is for any pre-college student.
  • Students need to submit a summary of their business product or idea.
  • The top summaries will be selected to present in front of a panel of Entrepreneur Society of America (ESOA) members.
  • Students will need to present (make an entrepreneurial pitch) and then the top pitches will be selected for the ESOA Scholarship.

 

Carol Fedoryk Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a student at Cranford High School in New Jersey.
  • Must major in education, math or computer science.
  • Must have extracurricular activities.
  • Must remain in chosen major to renew.

 

Fred & Louise Goebel Veterinarian Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a student specifically going into school for a degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in Florida.
  • The applicant must have been a member of the Chapter of Demolay, State of Florida, and / or one of its “Friends” Organizations. To find out if your organization is a Friend of the DeMolay Florida Chapter, please visit their website to learn more.
  • Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • This scholarship is renewable for one (1) year. Students may be on scholarship for a total of two (2) years as long as the student continues to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, remain in good academic standing, and continue to enroll in school.
  • Students will be required to submit one (1) letter of recommendation to apply for this opportunity.

 

Halie Guelfi Memorial Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a young woman graduating from Naples High School.
  • Must be a Collier County resident.
  • Applicants must be a child of a single parent.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 volunteer hours.

 

Hispanic Council Foundation Scholarship Fund

Eligibility requirements:

  • To provide support for women of Hispanic / Latina Heritage;
  • Graduating from a Collier County Public School; and
  • Majoring in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields.

 

Jilk Family Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a graduating senior from any Collier County Public School.
  • This scholarship is based on financial need.
  • Applicant must enroll as a full time student in a four-year public or private university.
  • Student must have an unweighted 3.5 GPA.

 

David M. & Judy B. Jones Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For graduating high school seniors from Barron Collier High School.
  • Must be a Collier County resident.
  • Applicant must have a 3.5 GPA.
  • The scholarship is based on financial need as determined by the scholarship committee.
  • Applicant may enroll in a four-year or two-year public or private post-secondary institution.

 

William R. & Lucille N. Lindsay Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For students that will be attending or are currently attending Lorenzo Walker Technical College.
  • This scholarship provides awards to assist with tuition, books, supplies and certificate exams at Lorenzo Walker Technical College.
  • Students may reapply each year for this scholarship.
  • This scholarship deadline is February 1st each year. Students need to apply online through the Foundation’s online system.

 

Lorenzo Walker Education Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For students that will be attending or are currently attending Lorenzo Walker Technical College.
  • This scholarship provides awards to assist with tuition, books, supplies and certificate exams at Lorenzo Walker Technical College.
  • Students may reapply each year for this scholarship

 

MacNiven Family Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For graduating senior students that participated in the Youth Leadership Collier Program through The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.
  • Student must have an unweighted 3.0 GPA.

 

Elaine Nicpon Marieb Charitable Foundation Scholarship
Eligibility requirements:

  • For female students that live in Collier County wishing to pursue their education.
  • The candidate will be asked to share information on their:
    • extra-curricular activities, hobbies, and/or outside of school/work activities.
    • volunteer work.
    • work experience.
  • The student does not need to have a specific major, however a priority screening is given to students going into the nursing programs.
  • The student will be requested to submit two (2) letters of recommendations.
  • The student will need to show financial need.
  • The student must complete a personal statement essay (including information about need for funding and/or career goals).

 

Edith & John Meli Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For graduating seniors from any Collier County Public High School and/or Independent Parochial School.
  • This scholarship is based on financial need.
  • Student must have an unweighted 3.0 GPA.

 

Leah & Ridley Monk Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For graduating seniors from Worth County High School.
  • Student must have an unweighted 3.0 GPA.
  • Financial need is taken into consideration. You may be requested to submit your parent’s / guardian’s tax information.
  • Students should plan on completing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) because the Student Aid Report (SAR) will be requested in the online application.
  • Students will need to upload 2 letters of recommendation.
  • Students are encouraged to share information about their community involvement, work experience, extra curricular activities, and/or volunteer work.

Eligibility requirements:

  • For graduating seniors from any Collier County Public or Private/Independent High School.
  • This scholarship is based on a student’s academic course load, GPA, class rank, extra-curricular activities, family situation, financial need, and personal essay.
  • Student must have an unweighted 3.0 GPA.

 

Naples Equestrian Challenge 'Deb PT' High School Volunteer Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For graduating seniors that are a Naples Equestrian Challenge (NEC) barn volunteer.
  • This scholarship is based on a student’s academic course load, GPA, class rank, extra-curricular activities, family situation, financial need, and personal essay.

 

 

James C. Ray Flight Training Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For students ages 15.5 or older living in Collier County wishing to pursue a certification for Private Solo Pilot.
  • Applicant must be a Collier County resident.
  • The student may be a Public, Private or Homeschooled student.
  • Students must have completed and passed the applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Written Airmen’s Knowledge Exam.
  • Students must have a 2.75 GPA or higher.
  • The student must submit an essay and one letter of recommendation.
  • Students may be invited to an interview.
  • There are two types of scholarships available: Private Solo Scholarship and Certificate Scholarship-Private Pilot Airplane.

 

Doris Reynolds Naples Daily News Journalism Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For graduating seniors from any Collier County Public High School.
  • Applicant must be a Collier County resident.
  • Applicant may enroll in a four-year or two-year public or private post-secondary institution.
  • Applicant must major in Journalism or English.
  • Applicant must have proof of volunteer hours.
  • This scholarship may be renewable.

 

The Kyle L. Sabel Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For graduating seniors high school seniors from any Public or Private/Independent High School in Collier County. This scholarship opportunity is also available for students that are in college or non-traditional students that graduated from high school.
  • Applicant must be a Collier County resident.
  • Applicant must be majoring in the Music Fields and student must plan on attending a school that specializes in the Music Fields.
  • Students are required to submit a letter of recommendation from a Music Teacher or someone in the music fields that can attest to the applicant’s drive in following their musical educational path.
  • This scholarship may be renewable.

 

Jimmy Schneeberger Memorial Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For graduating seniors from any Collier County Public High School.
  • For students choosing to major in the medical fields with desire of working with children.
  • Students must have a 3.0 GPA.

 

Veterans & Family Members of Veterans Scholarship: The Marc Scialdo Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For residents of Collier or Lee County that is graduating from high school or an adult wishing to continue their education.
  • Applicant must be a U.S. Veteran, a child of a U.S. Veteran or a grandchild of a U.S. Veteran.
  • Applicant must have/had a 2.5 GPA.
  • Applicant must enroll in 12 credit hours at their chosen post-secondary institution.
  • Applicant must upload a copy of a DD214 Form (visit the U.S. National Archives, Veteran Services Records website to learn more).

 

Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Scholarship Program
Eligibility requirements in Florida:

  • Students must be a U.S. Citizen who will graduate from one of the following schools:
    • Barron Collier High School
    • Community School of Naples
    • Donahue Academy
    • Everglades City School
    • First Baptist Academy
    • Golden Gate High School
    • Immokalee High School
    • Lely High School
    • Lorenzo Walker Technical High School
    • Marco Island Academy
    • Naples High School
    • Palmetto Ridge High School
    • Seacrest Country Day School
    • St. John Neumann Catholic High School
  • Have a minimum of a 3.3 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Have a minimum of a 22 ACT or 1030 SAT (math and verbal).
  • Show unmet financial need through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Will not be receiving need-based financial assistance (i.e. student will not receive a Pell Grant).

Ray & Sara Thomas Technical College Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For graduating seniors from any Collier County Public High School.
  • For applicants enrolling in a two-year educational program (specifically for students choosing career paths that do not require a four-year degree).
  • For example, possible career choices may include: dental hygienist, chef, travel agent, computer or mechanical fields, etc.
  • Student must have a 2.5 GPA or higher to apply.

 

Norman & Gail Thomson Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For applicants living in Collier County.Applicant may enroll in a four-year or two-year public or private post-secondary institution.
  • Applicant  may enroll in a four-year or two-year public or private post-secondary institution.
  • Student must have financial need and be a member of a Church or Synagogue.

 

Webster Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For students part of a Habitat for Humanity community.
  • For applicants enrolling in a private/independent High School in Collier County.
  • Students must remain in contact with the Habitat for Humanity Coordinator for students throughout their academic career.
  • Student must have a 3.0 GPA or higher to apply.

 

Working Republican Women's Scholarship Fund
Eligibility requirements:

  • For women who are registered Republicans and residents of Collier County.
  • Applicant’s formal education must have been interrupted for at least one year since high school graduation or during college.
  • Applicant may pursue a vocational/technical program, a first associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in a two or four-year program.

 

Scholarship Awards through the Community Foundation’s General Scholarship Fund

 

Johanna Koleka Ndrenika Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility requirements:

  • This award was started by a former Community Foundation Scholarship Recipient of the Joel A. Deifik Scholarship Fund.
  • Students must be a graduating high school senior from Barron Collier High School.
  • The student must be an immigrant and/or born outside of the United States.
  • The student must plan to be going to a technical, 2-year, or 4-year college or university.
  • The student must have a minimum GPA of 3.75.
  • Students will be requested to provide references and provide proof of a minimum of 25 volunteer hours.

 

Posner Family Scholarship
Eligibility requirements:

  • For graduating high school seniors from any Public or Private/Independent High School in Collier County.
  • The student must be a Collier County resident and a resident of a Habitat for Humanity Community in Collier County.
  • The student must plan to be going to a 2-year or 4-year college or university in Florida.
  • Students must have worked (at least) in their senior year of high school.
  • Student must have a minimum of an unweighted 3.00 GPA and the student will be required to submit two (2) letters of recommendation.
  • This scholarship may be renewable.

Eligibility requirements:

  • For Collier County students that are alumni of the Take Stock in Children Program through Champions for Learning and The Immokalee Foundation.
  • The student must be enrolled in their post-secondary path.
  • Students must fill out a profile online through the Scholarship Selector.
