Celebrating 35 years

For the past 35 years, the Community Foundation of Collier County has been connecting people who care to causes that matter, growing their charitable legacies, and funding nonprofit organizations to improve the quality of life in Collier County.

We ended our last fiscal year by distributing $35 million in grants and scholarships, almost double the 2018-19 amount! As we kick off our 35th year as your trusted foundation partner, we now manage more than 750 funds, work with hundreds of nonprofits, and have assets of over $200 million by the end of our 2019-20 fiscal year.

At the Community Foundation of Collier County, we are passionate about environmental causes and sustaining our natural resources for the next generation.  That’s why we are celebrating our 35th-anniversary by giving away 3,500 native trees to our community that will help preserve the beauty of Collier County, improve air quality, provide shade, and support wildlife.

So far, we have given away about 2,500 trees at Naples Botanical Garden and other sites around Collier County including:

  • Each complimentary tree comes with a tag providing information on the plant and how to ensure it will thrive in our tropical environment for years to come.

Our next tree giveaway event will be on September 26, 8 am- 12 pm, at Rookery Bay, 300 Tower Road Naples, Florida 34113

Thank you to Naples Botanical Garden, where the trees were grown, who partnered with us to select species perfect for our Southwest Florida environment.

Like these trees which provide a legacy for future generations, the Community Foundation of Collier County builds donor legacies to ensure a thriving future for the community we all love.
