Celebrating 35 years

For the past 35 years, the Community Foundation of Collier County has been connecting people who care to causes that matter, growing their charitable legacies, and funding nonprofit organizations to improve the quality of life in Collier County.

We ended our last fiscal year by distributing $35 million in grants and scholarships, almost double the 2018-19 amount! As we kick off our 35th year as your trusted foundation partner, we now manage more than 750 funds, work with hundreds of nonprofits, and have assets of over $200 million by the end of our 2019-20 fiscal year.

At the Community Foundation of Collier County, we are passionate about environmental causes and sustaining our natural resources for the next generation.  That’s why we are celebrating our 35th-anniversary by giving away 3,500 native trees to our community that will help preserve the beauty of Collier County, improve air quality, provide shade, and support wildlife.

We have given away 3,500 trees at Naples Botanical Garden, sites across  Collier County, and to nonprofits including:

  • Habitat for Humanity (Immokalee project)
  • Lee County Environmental Ed Class
  • Guadalupe Center
  • Salvation Army
  • Center for Independent Living Gulf Coast
  • Panther Preserve
  • CFCC Donor/Board/Committees
  • One Tree Organization*
  • Shelter for Abused Women & Children

Tag us in a picture of your newly planted tree so we can see its new home on twitter and Instagram @CFCollierFL and on Facebook @communityfoundationcolliercounty or use the hashtag #3500for35.

Each complimentary tree comes came with a tag providing information on the plant and how tonsure it will thrive in our tropical environment for years to come.

Thank you to Naples Botanical Garden, where the trees were grown, who partnered with us to select species perfect for our Southwest Florida environment.
