The Community Foundation of Collier County Announces New Board Members for 2017-2018

The Community Foundation of Collier County announced the addition of 4 new members to the Board of Trustees and a one year Trustee Emeriti seat.  Erika Aron, Todd Bradley, Lynn Martin, and Myra Williams joined the Board for a three-year term on July 1, 2017. Brad Havemeier is a Trustee Emeriti and has been elected to the Board for a one year period. Former Board Members, Pat Jilk, Kim Ciccarelli Cantor, Laird Grant Goody, Kathleen Kircher, Suzie Lount, and Deborah Russell became Trustees Emeriti.

The Community Foundation is grateful that these talented individuals bring their great insight and expertise to an already accomplished and dedicated Board of Trustees,” said Mary Lynn Myers, Community Foundation Board Chair. “Their passion and commitment to our community is critical to the long-term success of our mission and the future of Collier County.  We are also fortunate to retain the wisdom and experience of our Board Emeriti. Together, we can make a difference.”

Launched in 1985, the Community Foundation of Collier County improves the quality of life in Collier County by connecting donors to community needs and providing leadership on critical community issues. The Foundation’s 20-member Board of Trustees stewards its strategic grantmaking and special initiatives as well as the growth of its philanthropic assets to benefit Collier County.

About the New Board Members

Erika Aron was an avid volunteer in New York City before moving to Naples.  Here she is very involved in community organization’s boards including Christ Child Society, First Book/Books for Collier Kids, Naples Philharmonic League, Pelican Bay Women’s League, and the Shelter for Abused Women and Children.  She was also a volunteer tutor for ELLM Reading Readiness and a member of Greater Naples Leadership Class XVII.

Todd Bradley is a Principal in Cummings & Lockwood’s Private Clients Group and is based in the Naples office. He has been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyer since 2007, a Best Lawyer since 2008 and a Florida Bar Board Certified Attorney in Wills, Trusts & Estates since 1999.  His community involvement includes serving on the Florida Bar Grievance Committee, being Past Chair of Champions For Learning where he currently serves on the Finance and Corporate committees, a Paul Harris Fellow with Naples North Rotary Club and volunteering with the Gator Alumni club.

Lynn Martin, a senior investment professional with over thirty years’ experience building profitable client-focused businesses in large firm and entrepreneurial environments,  has a history of leadership and philanthropic involvements with a broad cross-section of non-profits. She has a special passion for missions related to empowering women and families, both locally and abroad. Her local involvement includes volunteering for The Shelter for Abused Women & Children where she received the Outstanding Emergency Shelter Volunteer Award for 2017, Community Foundation Audit Committee Member, Co-Chair of the First Mates women’s organization at the Naples Sailing and Yacht Club, Environment Committee of the League of Women Voters, and Church Mouse volunteer at Trinity by the Cove. She has been accepted to Greater Naples Leadership Class XXII in 2017- 2018.

Myra Williams, former Executive Director for the Merck Research Laboratories in New Jersey, Vice President & Chief Information Officer for Glaxo Inc. in North Carolina, has served on the boards of numerous companies, foundations and non-profit organizations. She is a past member of the Board of Education of the Princeton Regional Schools and continues as a volunteer tutor in science and mathematics. She has been an officer of multiple non-profits in Naples and treasurer of the Banyan Island homeowner association. She serves on the national boards of the Golandsky Institute and the Success for All Foundation and is a member of Greater Naples Leadership Class XIII.
