The Community Foundation works with donors to help them plan ahead and positively impact nonprofit organizations and issues they care about beyond their lifetime. But we could not do this quite as effectively without partnerships with our area’s professional advisors—attorneys, financial planners, wealth managers – and the volunteers who serve on our Professional Advisor’s Council.
It’s simple, really. Professional advisors know their clients. We know philanthropy. Together we can ensure that donors make decisions that make a difference in Collier County. Many of our professional advisors’ clients may already be donating regularly to the organizations and programs they care about. By partnering with the Community Foundation, advisors make it easier for their clients to give effectively and receive significant tax benefits. From the client who wants to make an immediate philanthropic impact to the couple hoping to leave a legacy, to the family with a complicated tax situation, the Community Foundation has a team of philanthropic professionals to help advisors and donors find the best solutions.
And, as an added benefit for all professional advisors in our community, the Professional Advisors Council hosts engaging lectures and seasoned experts from around the country as part of its mission to educate their colleagues. These experts share strategies for working with clients on how to maximize their charitable giving through careful planning and a relationship with the Community Foundation.
