For as little as $10,000 you may create a fund now or for the future through a charitable gift annuity or a trust agreement.

  • First, decide how you would like to make a contribution to establish your fund. You may contribute cash, securities, or other property valued at $10,000 or more. Assets of any amount may also be contributed to an existing unrestricted fund or to the Community Foundation's General Fund.
  • Select a name for your fund.
  • Complete and sign a simple governing document (Instrument of Transfer).
  • Add to the fund at any time in any dollar amount.
  • Receive a tax deduction at the time the fund is established and when additional contributions are made.

Whatever your philanthropic passion, the Community Foundation is sure to customize a powerful approach to your specific charitable interests. In truth, many people are surprised at how simple and flexible giving through the Foundation can be.

To create your fund, you may use almost any kind of assets, from cash and marketable securities to real estate, insurance policies, IRA's and other qualified retirement plans, personal property, or a bequest.

Then simply sign a document that conveys your gift - and your grant priorities and areas of interest to the Community Foundation.

It's that easy!
