Corporate Philanthropy
“Our vision for the future is to become for the business community what we have already become for individual donors – a knowledgeable and trusted resource that helps make philanthropy flexible and smart,” says Colleen M. Murphy, the Community Foundation’s President and CEO. “In short, we want to make sure that local business contributions make the greatest possible impact on Collier County.”
While local corporations have always participated in charitable endeavors and private foundations, the Community Foundation provides a complete, coordinated program that benefits both the community and corporations. A collective approach that includes a corporate advised fund offers superior investment services and strategies, flexible and cost-effective gifting options and expert, impartial allocation of funds. The result is maximum community impact.
“Our experience and expertise about local needs helps corporations develop charitable programs consistent with their field of interest,” explains Colleen. “We also help them implement new ideas like scholarship programs or other efforts that tie in with the corporation’s philosophy. The Community Foundation has an excellent record, and we are well equipped to help corporations plan, organize and distribute their charitable funds.
