Group Initiatives
Community Group Funds
These funds are established at the Foundation by groups of like-minded citizens who raise monies to make grants to a local organization that provides needed services to the citizens of Collier County. They can make good use of the administrative and investment resources of the Foundation and dedicate 100% of their efforts to fulfilling their charitable goals.
- Ashley Kelly Memorial Scholarship Fund: To provide scholarships to students in the Laureate Program at Naples High School.
- Baby Basics Fund: To provide diapers and emotional support to working poor families and their babies.
- Baby Basics Immokalee Program Fund: To provide diapers and emotional support to working poor families and their babies in the Immokalee area.
- Bach Ensemble Endowment Fund: To provide sustainable funding for the Bach Ensemble’s mission of presenting the works of Johann Sebastian Bach and his contemporaries.
- Beasley Disaster Relief Fund: To provide support to victims of natural disasters.
- Bruce Thalheimer Charitable Fund: To continue the charitable efforts in the community for which Bruce Thalheimer was so well known.
- Children’s Trust Fund: To support the research and education of the general public on children’s needs in Collier County through the Leadership Collier Foundation.
- Collier County 100 Club: To provide aid to protective service workers, and their dependants, injured in the line of duty.
- Collier Junior Golf Fund: To make the game of golf accessible to all children in Collier County.
- Critter Fund: To provide scholarships, tutoring and school supplies to children and adults.
- Disaster Relief Fund: To provide emergency funds to Collier County nonprofits that help citizens in times of natural disasters.
- Empowerment Alliance of SWFL–CFCC Initiative: To help low-income individuals and families in rural SWFL build better lives through homeownership and education.
- First Book Fund: To provide disadvantaged children with new books.
- Fresh Start for Abused Women Fund: To provide funds to women and their children to enable them to make a "Fresh Start" in a new life free from abuse.
- Fun Time Early Childhood Academy Fund: To provide ongoing support to Fun Time’s early childhood education programs.
- The Grantmaking Initiative–CFCC Initiative: To support the Foundation’s proactive grantmaking that focuses on six areas of need and leverages every community dollar for maximum impact.
- Glenview Employee Scholarship Fund: To provide scholarships for Glenview employees and their families.
- Haitian Coalition of Collier County Fund: To enhance the quality of life for the men, women and children of the Haitian community.
- Holocaust Museum of SW Florida Fund: To support the programs and mission of the museum.
- Humane Society of Collier County: To sustain the work and mission of the organization.
- The Immokalee Initiative–CFCC Initiative: To provide capacity-building support to Immokalee nonprofits in developing strategies to better serve the needs of their unique community.
- The Initiative for Nonprofit Excellence—CFCC Initiative: To provide expert training for nonprofit staff, board and volunteers in effective, smart business practices.
- Jay L. Friedland, M.D. Prostate Cancer Research Fund: For the innovation and continuation of treatment of prostate cancer.
- Literacy Volunteers of Collier County: To sustain the programs and mission of the organization.
- Miracle Limbs – Courage in Motion Fund: To purchase prosthetics for amputees, and also provide physical therapy and counseling.
- Moates' Kicks for Kids Fund: To provide new clothes, shoes, and backpacks for underserved, school children.
- Naples Alliance for Children Endowment Fund: To sustain the programs and mission of the organization.
- Naples Concert Band: To provide free public concerts in Cambier Park and raise money for music scholarships.
- Naples Cultural Landscape Fund: To develop a sense of community and connect the citizen’s of our community.
- Naples Equestrian Challenge “Deb PT” High School Volunteer Scholarship Fund: To recognize barn volunteers for their efforts and provide scholarships toward their future education.
- Naples Music Club Scholarship Funds: To develop a musically connected community where individuals can fulfill their artistic dreams.
- Pat & Laura Cacho Funtime Scholarship Fund: To provide scholarships to Fun Time Early Childhood Academy.
- Port Royal Club Scholarship Fund: To provide scholarships for Port Royal Club employees and their families.
- R. J. Victor Angel Fund: To provide specially trained service dogs to disabled children.
- RCMA Endowment Fund: To sustain the programs and mission of the organization
- Sams Sailing Scholarship Fund: To provide sailing instruction scholarships for physically, mentally and economically challenged children.
- Steinway Piano Society “Piano Bank” Fund: To provide scholarships for piano lessons and pianos for deserving children in low-income families.
- The Tulip Endowment Fund: To enhance the quality of life for those with Parkinson’s Disease and their caregivers.
- The Women’s Initiative–CFCC Initiative: To create a permanent pool of dollars to perpetually fund programs that support the unmet needs of women and girls in Collier County.
- Wyndemere Fund: To support a proactive Grant-making Program with a particular interest in the Golden Gate community.
- YPO 49ers Fund: To help sponsor the Laws of Life essay contest in the Collier County Schools.
